A balance of history and modern living with a restored barn, custom Irish pub, and seamless indoor-outdoor spaces.

A thoughtfully renovated Milton residence tells a new story. Guided by DeOrsay Campbell Smith Architects, the project preserved historic character while adapting the home for modern living. The transformation introduced two major additions, a dramatic barn restoration, and custom-designed interiors — all crafted to honor heritage while enhancing functionality.

Exterior Architecture

The home’s original shingle-style character was carefully preserved, with stone foundations, gabled rooflines, and new detached garage blending seamlessly with the main house. Unified trim and color palette connect all elements into a cohesive whole.

Kitchen & Living Areas

The reimagined kitchen and adjacent rooms balance timeless design with comfort. A custom wood island with stone countertop ties the home’s natural palette into the interiors, while traditional millwork and moldings frame formal spaces.

A new sunroom with a vaulted skylight ceiling creates a bright and welcoming transition between the home and landscape. Outdoors, a stone terrace, gardens, and hardscape design complete the connection.

Restored Barn

Once a time capsule, the barn was reborn as a soaring lounge and office. With vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, a floor-to-ceiling window, and stone fireplace, it is now one of the property’s most iconic spaces.

Salvaged barn materials were reimagined into a fully outfitted Irish pub in the basement. Complete with mahogany bar, green leather booths, Waterford crystal lighting, and a billiards table, the space reflects the homeowners’ love for entertaining.
