Coastal Home is a grey shingle residence in Duxbury built around the clean, confident lines of a Dutch Colonial gambrel roof. Twin stone chimneys anchor the roofline, while a columned entry portico with a dentil-trimmed pediment marks the front door beneath a stone-walled, cobblestone-apron motor court. A cupola tops the attached two-car garage, echoing the home’s paired dormers and tying the whole composition together. Inside, a skylit stairwell hall — lit by a dramatic curved dormer window — leads to a wainscoted upper hallway, while a shiplap-paneled mudroom with built-in bench seating and woven storage baskets handles the everyday business of coastal living. Out back, a bluestone patio framed by a stone retaining wall centers on a fire pit and dining area, enclosed by a classic white picket fence — an outdoor room built for both quiet evenings and entertaining.
